| Oh, dear, I've missed you all!
Here's the dealio.
I just got a new job, and it's keeping me wicked busy throughout September. Like, I work Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3 to 7, and Saturday from 9 to 5:30. All through September. It sucks. But I'm making good money. Which is nice. ANYWAY. The days that I'm not working are Mondays (when I have dance from 5 to 9 and thus have to get my homework done beforehand) and Fridays (when I have improv after school because I'm captain this year, and then most likely hanging out with friends).
In addition to all that, my homework load is kind of over the top.
That said, I do intend on keeping this site running. Once my schedule calms down a little (aka once October comes), I should be able to post more often. I wish I had something to give you guys, but I don't seeing as I have barely photoshopped anything in a month or two. I've been busy with drama and school and life and GAH.
I really do love you all very much, and I will be back! Don't leave me!

| PLEASE NOTE: This entry might contain spoilers, or it might just make you think things...so if you haven't finished Deathly Hallows yet, DO NOT READ THIS ENTRY!
I can't believe it's all over. I realized last night, when the man at the desk pressed the two books my family had pre-ordered in my hands and politely said that they would cost $48, that I'd been following the life and chronicles of Harry Potter for half of my life. As I turned sixteen this year and I received Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone for my eighth birthday, literally half my life had been spent anticipating the end to all of the mysteries.
My mother and I have spent countless hours debating - will Harry live? Of course he will - JKR's life would be in danger if she killed him! But if she's following in the steps of the mythology her literature resembles, Harry's life is in danger. But she just can't kill him! Eventually we came to the conclusion that no matter how much we analyze, it won't change the outcome, and we won't know what that outcome is until the magic moment when 759-page book is in our hands.
I stayed up until four in the morning reading through page 240 and only went upstairs because I felt lonely and strangely frightened when my mother went up to bed. I awoke around 9:45 and immediately proceeded to the living room to finish what I had begun the night before. Since then, I've only stopped to make myself lunch (that is to say, heat up an ear of corn), go to the bathroom twice, and get myself Excedrin for the intense headache that had developed from a lack of sleep. I was, for most of the time, exactly 40 pages ahead of my mother, who had fallen asleep numerous times last night and woken herself up with the sound of her own snoring. It got to the point where the cries of joy and gasps of horror were too much for her and she retreated to the family room at the opposite end of the house.
After bawling my eyes out for a fair amount of time and then grinning wildly not long after, the last words in the entire Harry Potter series glared up at me, and I realized that it was all over. There were no more secrets, no more mysteries, nothing left to analyze. The characters I had been following half my life no longer had anything interesting enough to be written down in another epic novel, and Mugglenet no longer had any theories await proof. I feel, strangely, like a part of me has fallen away.
I keep telling myself, "At least we have two more movies to look forward to." But what then? There will be nothing left.
I sound kind of pathetic, but this series is what inspired me to begin writing myself, and JKR is the person who convinced me inadvertently that what I really want to do with my life is create a piece of literature that moves people in the way she moved me. As the Harry Potter series comes to a close, something inside me is falling out.
And yet, I couldn't be happier with it.
